Day 3 - Gajner to Amritsar
Overnight at Ranjits Savasa
On a more modest scale than our first three hotels but equally characterful, this is a small, family-run heritage hotel, with lovely staff and a wonderful atmosphere. Great food, mainly organic. We will arrive in plenty of time to visit the Golden Temple, or go early in the morning.
The Golden Temple houses the Sikh holy book, the Guru Granth Sahib. It has entrances from every direction: north, south, east and west, and the building which is gold plated is over 400 years old.
